UMIC Lab3 measures on-line the total gas production during a biomethanization process.

Using this equipment, the scientists are able to evaluate the evolution of anaerobic digestion of incubated matters based on total gas production in order to determine the optimal biomethanizable mixture.

The pressure produced inside the reactor is sensed with a measurement frequency parameterized by the experimenter.

In response to a pressure higher than a predetermined level, an electric valve opens the outlet automatically and the gas is released in order to be analyzed.

The pressure valves measured and the number of valve openings are recorded on the hard disk of a computer at a preset frequency.

The device can be connected to the users Intranet via an Ethernet connection.
