This warranty document explains the rights, restrictions and means for setting up the warranty for Umic products.
However, if the rights and means granted to the client under local legislation are more advantageous than those described below, they shall be in no way restricted by them.
The warranty covers all the functional elements of a Umic product, whether new or reconditioned, which are affected by a manufacturing or factory fault.
Wetlands Biosciences s.a. guarantees to replace and, if necessary, replace the product within 12 months from the date of purchase.
This is the maximum time period and may not be extended under any circumstances.
Intervention necessary under the warranty shall not extend the duration of the warranty beyond its term.
The contractual warranty is only applicable if the product is sold by its manufacturer, Wetlands Biosciences s.a..
The labels on the equipment are essential for processing by the After Sales Service Team. They should not be removed under any circumstances, or the warranty may be rendered invalid.
This warranty refers to parts and labour and covers:
- The supply of a new or reconditioned part,
- Removal and replacement of the part by a professional according to the current hourly rates of Wetlands Biosciences s.a..
- Postage costs incurred when sending the probe back
The warranty is limited to the exchange of parts manufactured by us which have been recognised as faulty by our after sales service team, or repair at our discretion, without any time restriction.
If the equipment is returned without the prior agreement of the After Sales Service Team and tests functional, the cost of the test and return shall be borne by the client.
Immobilization and indirect damage costs incurred by returning the probe to the After Sales Service Team are not covered by the warranty.
This warranty shall not apply if one or more of the following elements is evident:
- Normal wear and tear of parts, controls, fittings and servicing
- Lack of compliance with instructions for installation and use
- Accidents and damages caused by:
- Peripheral elements for the probe not delivered with the apparatus, such as an attachment, protection or display system.
- Negligence by the user
- Maintenance faults and periodic servicing within the timescale set by the manufacturer
- Any type of accident, including transport, handling and use,
- Faulty operation
- Over-operation
- Disassembly of the apparatus, even partial
- Use of unsuitable or incompatible voltage
- Use of apparatus for purpose not stipulated by the manufacturer
- Serial number on the product has been changed, effaced or rendered illegible
- Degradation of the equipment due to unsuitable packaging when sending back to the After Sales Service Team
All Umic products come with a quality certificate, a user manual and a warranty.
When sending equipment back to the After Sales Service Team for repair or standard exchange, the After Sales Service Team for Wetlands Biosciences s.a. shall be in charge of organising and carrying out the repair or exchange.
When sending the product back, the client should include in the parcel:
- Proof of purchase showing the date of purchase
- Order reference number
- Product reference number
- Product serial number
- Detailed description of the difficulties experienced and the expected reason for the fault (with the error message given by the apparatus if appropriate)
- Description of the action already taken
and the client shall take care to ensure that the probe is packaged appropriately so as to avoid damage during transportation.
The contact details of the client must also appear on the parcel.
